Illum Wikkelsø (1919–1999) was born in Denmark and was one of Denmark's greatest furniture designers during Denmark’s Mid-Century Modern golden era. Wikkelsø may not have got nearly as much attention internationally as his Danish peers such as Hans J. Wenger and Finn Juhl, however his craftsmanship and design was of the same top tier level as theirs.
